Chile

Chile, we hardly knew you.

We stay just two days in Santiago, but that little taste left us wanting to experience more of Chile.  And crossing into Chile over the Andes (from Mendoza) was an experience we will never forget.

During our two days in Santiago we:

• Walked through the quirky, artsy Bellavista neighborhood
• Explored the Parque Metropolitano
• Rode the teleferico to the top of the Cerro San Cristóbal
• Enjoyed great food – and the widest variety we’d seen in South America

Where We Stayed

We decided to splurge on our last two nights in South America, so we stayed at the excellent Hotel Orly, a wonderful boutique hotel in one of Santiago’s finest neighborhoods.

What We Will Remember

A wonderful modern, cosmopolitan, culturally-oriented city.  We will return one day to experience Chile more fully.
